"In my early 20’s, I would often spend NYE partying it up in Vegas. If you had told me then, that at 34, I would spend my 2018 NYE giving birth in Vegas, I would have thought that was funny. I’ve always loved Vegas. And now it truly feels like home. I was married here and Spencer was #vegasborn one year ago tonight. It was a tough labor and tough pregnancy and I knew it would be worth it (how many times could someone have told me that lol) but what I never could have expected was how absolutely perfect my baby would be. He has a bit of a cold right now but overall is very healthy. He’s sweet as can absolutely be. He hugs me tight and pats my back and says mama all day long. He’s smart as a whip. Has an extensive vocabulary already and makes me feel so unbelievably lucky every day. He’s happy and calm, fun and delicious. A dream. He is more special than I could have ever imagined him being. This baby is on another level. A level that I’m honored to be on with him. This past year has been so amazing and I so look forward to each year that I get to spend with him. I can’t wait to see him develop and see all that he is and will be. Spencer, thank you for being my new best friend. Your daddy and I will always be here for you and I’m sorry I took your first cupcake away from you. I’m scared of sugar. Love you so much. 💙💙💙😘🎈"
