Tyler Christopher Teases Return to GENERAL HOSPITAL!
Since leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL, Tyler Christopher has been inundated by tweets from fans wishing he would return as Nikolas Cassadine, and he finally responded to their posts.
“Thanks for the continued GH love after all these months away,” he tweeted. “Wish I could respond to everyone. Very much appreciated. Never say never.”

In May of last year, the soap announced that Christopher would be taking some time off and the role of Nikolas would be temporarily recast with Nick Stabile. However, when Stabile’s limited run came to an end in July, there was still no word regarding Christopher’s return.
Then in August, Christopher announced at the GH Fan Club Weekend that he was done with his vacation and would be returning in September, but one month later came the shocking news that he would not be coming back to the soap after all!
GH fans were shocked by the news, and upset to lose such an important character from the canvas. However, Christopher was still working elsewhere, landing roles in the movies The New Wife, co-starring fellow GH alum Annie Wersching (ex-Amelia), and Pretty Broken, co-starring DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Jillian Clare (ex-Abigail).

Heck, in October, Christopher even co-hosted a GH Fantasy Weekend with Laura Wright (Carly) and hung out with some of his co-stars and got up-close and personal with the fans, so he’s never really been too far off the radar!
The actor’s comment of “Never say never” has renewed the hope of GH fans wishing for Christopher’s return, especially the “Niz” fans who still dream of seeing Nikolas and Liz reunited on screen. Who knows what the new year may bring? Stay tuned!
