The End of GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Olivia? — Tonja Walker Reveals Her Future With the Soap!

Q: What would you like to see happen to your character?

A: I want to see her come back well, wreak more havoc in Port Charles… or come back as [ONE LIFE TO LIVE's] Alex.

Q: Did you like the way the Ava/Olivia confrontation played out?

A: Honestly, I wish that we’d actually gotten to talk about our different mothers and history. Maybe that’ll happen in the future.

Q: Wouldn’t it be great if Jules really didn’t kill Duke and he was alive? It’s been known to happen every now and again on GH!

A: Yeah, but I don’t think they can do that… Who knows, though — I was dead, too!

Q: So enjoyed your scenes with Matt Cohen (Griffin). Cracked me up you wanted to use his fine body to host Duke. Yummy!

A: Ha ha! Me, too! I felt like a dirty old lady!

Q: How was working with Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) and William deVry (Julian)?

A: Are you kidding? I love them! I’m a big fan of the Julexis army. I want an army like that!

Q: How was it working with Finola [Hughes, Anna] and Kimberly [McCullough, Robin] again? Loved those scenes!

A: It was a joy. Working with them is like old home week!

Q: What’s your favorite thing about playing the villain?

A: Oh, I love playing a villain. But half the time I didn’t know the horrible things I had done yet!

Q: What has been your favorite moment thus far, being a part of the GH cast?

A: Oh, there have been so many. My upcoming scenes with Finola Hughes (Anna) and Maurice Benard (Sonny)… I can’t wait to see those!

Q: Was acting something you always wanted to do? It’s so great to see you on the show again.

A: I’ve known I’ve wanted to be an actress since I was a little girl. And to get this opportunity again, after raising my family, has been a gift from God (and [GH executive producer] Frank Valentini).

Q: If you could be another character, who would you be?

A: Oh boy, I love playing who I play. Maybe [OLTL’s] Alex… Ha ha!

Q: What do you think of the film angles and editing style of the film crew? Does it affect how you play a scene?

A: When they shoot me from the side, I’m not happy. When they have the light in my face, I’m happy and I’d love longer scenes. Ha ha!

Q: I saw speculation that Morgan is alive. Can you spill any juicy details?

A: Well, I certainly hope so! A few less years in jail and maybe Sonny won’t kill me.

Q: What is Olivia Jerome’s endgame? She is brilliant, albeit psychotic. Love her sense of humor. Hope The Powers That Be keep you on screen at GH.

A: She is brilliant and psychotic! I think she snapped when she went overseas and hopefully she’ll snap back one of these days.

Q: I read you’re leaving and I was wondering if you would come back to GH? If you do, who would you want to work with?

A: They left me a few different ways to come back. I’d love to work with Kin Shriner (Scott), Maurice Benard (Sonny), and everyone I’ve gotten to work with. The writers left many doors open so I can come back. I hope it’s sooner rather than later!

Q: How does it feel to be back after 27 years?

A: It felt like home. I miss it, I really do.
