Go Behind the Scenes of James’ Rescue on GH!

On the Aug. 15 episode of General Hospital, Cody got to play hero when he discovered a missing James floating in the Quartermaine pond!

Taping the scenes with Josh Kelly (Cody) and Gary James Fuller (James) took place in two parts: on the boathouse set and then in a dunk tank for the actual water shots. Across Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, GH and Fuller shared several behind-the-scenes photos from the day, giving viewers an inside look at how they put together the rescue. The soap even shared an Instagram Reel of video clips from the day!

As James reached over the boathouse deck’s stone wall to grab his frisbee, Fuller landed on a soft mat — held in place by a protective member of the GH crew! “I do my own stunts,” the young star wrote on Instagram.

Fuller and Kelly got sprayed down with water before shooting the actual rescue scenes in the water tank. “They should have just dipped me and Josh in the tank before we filmed these scenes,” joked Fuller.

A lifeguard was in the tank to ensure that both actors were safe. “We're pretty sure Gary hasn’t ever had this much fun on set,” shared the soap on Facebook.
