Julie Berman Mourns the Loss of Her Beloved Dog, Olive

Please join us in sending love to Julie Berman (ex-Lulu, GENERAL HOSPITAL), who is heartbroken after the death of her beloved dog, Olive. “I have dreaded this day since I first met her,” she shared on Instagram with some photos of her adorable pooch. “I hoped I’d feel an overwhelming sense of peace, but really saying goodbye is putting my thoughts and feelings all over the place.

“I wanted time to slow down for one more kiss and one more ‘don’t forget me’ and one more anything and everything good and bad,” Berman continued. “But I also wanted it to speed up so I wouldn’t feel the torture of waiting for the moment it would actually be over. I wanted her to finally be free of her body, which has been deteriorating for years. But I also questioned if she didn’t mind the breakdown and still wanted to fight.”

Still, the actress is grateful for the many years that Olive was a part of her family along with husband Michael Grady and their 22-month-old son, Asher. “She made it to 14 years old last week,” Berman revealed. “My 14-year-old baby girl. She really was that to me. I can’t believe you’re gone, my little Tater Tot. You were loved and adored and we were good for each other and I hope that was enough.”
