GH Star Kathleen Gati Goes Back to Blonde!
Many fans know that Obrecht’s accent isn’t Kathleen Gati’s real accent, but they might be surprised to know that neither is her hair color! While GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers know the actress for having dark brown or black locks, she recently debuted a brand new blonde look… that takes her back to her roots! “Back to my original hair color!” Gati tweeted after her change debuted on social media. “MIA for 13 years! So good to be blonde again!”
Fans first caught sight of the new hair color on Sept. 30 in a video Gati taped with GH daughter Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) to promote their Oct. 16 appearance at Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club in New Jersey. Then, even more of them saw the blonde when Thiebaud shared a selfie taken on the side of the road joking they were “lost in New Jersey” on Oct. 15.
When a fan asked if the blonde was proving the old adage true and having more fun, Gati joked: “You have no idea!” And after another declared she looked “amazing” and tweeted some photos of Gati as a blonde, the GH star noted those were older pictures before she’d gone brunette, but shared a new headshot taken with her current color!
Given that GH shoots about a month ahead, viewers can look forward to Obrecht rocking this stylish new hair color on the soap when she next appears. Then we’ll see if blondes really do have more fun… in Port Charles, anyway!
