Kristen Alderson Recalls the End of ONE LIFE TO LIVE

Tags:

The final episode of ONE LIFE TO LIVE aired on ABC on Jan. 13, 2012, but the cast and crew taped the final episode of the beloved daytime drama back on Nov. 18, 2011. And when the tenth anniversary of that sad day came around in 2021, Kristen Alderson (Starr) was inspired to share a look back at that momentous occasion with her fans.

“Thinking of my OLTL family today!” she shared on Instagram with a series of pics from that day. “10 years ago today (the day of these photos) was the last day that we filmed OLTL and then had our wrap party that night.

“The family that we created there since I was six years old can never be replaced,” Alderson continued. “Sending so much love to all the crew, actors, and fans! You all hold one of the biggest places in my heart.”

Alderson debuted on OLTL back in March 1998 when she was just six, and fans watched the talented child star grow up into an equally talented and beautiful young actress on screen over the years. She then moved the character of Starr Manning over to sister soap GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2012 just a month after OLTL went off the air and continued playing the role until 2013 when legal issues forced ABC to recast her as a new character, Kiki Jerome. But for legions of ABC Daytime fans, Alderson will always be remembered fondly as Starr.

Take a look at the final day of shooting at OLTL and the soap’s wrap party through Alderson’s eyes in the special photos that she shared in the gallery below.
