GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Scarlett Fernandez Is Recovering From a Broken Collarbone

Tags:

Ouch! Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte, GENERAL HOSPITAL) broke her collarbone and is going to be in recovery for at least the next two months of the summer! “It’s been a crazy few days!” she shared on Instagram. “One week ago I found out I made the gymnastics team, and two days later I tripped, fell, and broke my collarbone (not doing gymnastics)!

“It has been very painful, and I can’t do anything active for at least two months,” Fernandez continued, “but today, after three doctor visits and three ‘contraptions’ I found out I don’t need surgery, which is the best news! Send me ideas of fun things to do this summer with my brace or my sling on!”

Fernandez’s injury announcement comes shortly after fellow GH child star Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma) revealed she’d fractured her wrist while playing soccer. Thankfully, both girls have been treated and are on the road to recovery — hopefully, it will be speedy!

Fernandez first joined the cast of GH as Charlotte Cassadine back in October of 2016, and was the center of a bitter custody battle as Valentin and Lulu both fought over their daughter. The last time she made an appearance on screen was at the end of May when the truth about Peter August was revealed and Valentin was caught in the fallout. Hopefully Fernandez will be on the mend soon so we can see Charlotte back in Port Charles again!
