Zane Achor, Heather Tom’s Son, Played Will Spencer on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL

The reason that Will Spencer on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL was so comfortable around his mom, Katie, on the show is because they’re actually related! Will was played by Zane Achor, the real-life son of Heather Tom (Katie). Tom and husband James Achor welcomed the adorable little boy into their family on October 28, 2012, and by 2013, he was already a TV star playing Katie and Bill’s baby boy on B&B! But in 2018, Tom wanted her son to focus on kindergarten, so the role was recast with Finnegan George.

Zane was already turning out to be quite the performer, especially at home when he tries to get his way! “He’s doing this thing now where he’ll fake-cry — with tears and everything,” Tom confided to Soaps In Depth with a chuckle. “And I’m like, ‘Sorry, dude, but I’ve made a living doing the fake-cry. You can’t pull that on me!”

Having Zane play Will helpsd create an immediate bond between Katie and her boy, which also helps inform Tom’s performances whenever Will is the center of her storyline. And that’s happened a few times as Bill and Katie have clashed over their child’s custody. And more recently, it was Will referring to Wyatt as his brother that caused Katie to rethink her relationship with the Spencer heir, realizing how confusing it would be for Will to have Wyatt go from sibling to parent.

Although Zane is no longer going to be playing Will, who knows where the boy’s future might lead? And for more B&B news, keep reading the CBS edition of Soaps In Depth magazine!
