Tags:

Daytime legend Agnes Nixon’s memoir, My Life to Live has been released, and it’s a book that no soap fan will want to miss! Female creators in television are common now, but when Nixon rose to fame, it was a very different world, and she became a trailblazer for the talented women who followed her path.

Nixon was responsible for creating the Emmy-winning soaps ALL MY CHILDREN, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, and LOVING. She also wrote for AS THE WORLD TURNS, SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, GUIDING LIGHT, and ANOTHER WORLD. She also penned groundbreaking storylines that involved cancer, interracial relationships, LGBT rights, and AIDS.

Sadly, Nixon passed away in September of 2016, but thankfully for her many fans, had completed her memoirs chronicling her rise to become “queen of the soaps.”

“I owe my career to Agnes,” said AMC’s Susan Lucci (Erica), “who was not only a brilliant creator and writer, but also my friend. My Life to Live is full of wonderful, evocative stories from her life and career that even I hadn’t heard. And in typical Agnes fashion, her storytelling is full of humanity, social relevance, and delicious humor! I know that her legions of fans will treasure it as much as I do.”

And when she received a copy of the book, the actress couldn’t help but let her fans know how much she’s enjoying it and how they should make sure to get a copy for themselves!
