Congratulations to daytime alum Eden Riegel (Bianca, ALL MY CHILDREN), who has been nominated for Voice Actress of the Year! “Oh, nothing,” the actress posted to Instagram. “Just a little Behind the Voice Actors Voice Actress of the Year award nomination! Thank you!” She’s also up for Best Female Vocal Performance in a Video Game for her role as Diana in Zero Time Dilemma.
During her years on AMC, Riegel was nominated four times for the Outstanding Younger Actress Daytime Emmy Award, finally taking home the gold in 2005. Since leaving daytime, the actress has found success in voice acting. Her performances can be heard in cartoons like SAILOR MOON CRYSTAL, FRESH BEAT BAND OF SPIES, and THE LION GUARD. She has also done voice work for the popular videogames Fire Emblem Heroes, World of Final Fantasy, and Final Fantasy XV.
Riegel is up against nine other talented actresses, including original SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE cast member Laraine Newman. Nominated in the Voice Actor of the Year Category is fellow daytime alum Nolan North, who is best known to soap fans for his role of Chris Ramsey on PORT CHARLES, but is popular among video game fans as the voice of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted Series.
In real life, Riegel has been just as wildly successful. She has been happily married to husband Andrew Miller since 2007, and they have two beautiful children together, Jack (6) and Henry (3).
