Fans of ALL MY CHILDREN who missed the Oct. 31 episode of LIVE WITH KELLY AND RYAN missed out on the special Halloween “Reboooot” of the beloved ABC soap! On their holiday episode, the two co-hosts invited various guest stars to perform in comedy skits “rebooting classic shows, including a wacky trip back to Pine Valley. “We have actors coming from AMC,” Kelly Ripa previewed on a recent episode, “and then certain people are playing other actors.” Her former castmates Susan Lucci (Erica) and Eva LaRue (Maria) will be joining her for the special segment where she will be reprising her role of Hayley, and Ryan Seacrest will be playing the role of Jackson Montgomery, who was played on the soap by Walt Willey. And that’s not the only surprise they had in store for viewers — the original Kendall is back! Check it out:

Ripa admitted she was impressed that Seacrest was the only one who memorized his lines, even though he wasn’t an actor. He confessed the he just didn’t want to be the one to screw up the scene and make a legend like Lucci have to redo the scene! “Isn’t it amazing how iconic she is?” Ripa marveled. “She walks in and immediately everybody’s like, ‘Erica Kane is here!’ And right away, I went back to being intimidated in the best way. Not in a scary way. Because she’s so iconic that you can’t believe that she’s standing there.”

While we will unfortunately never get a real reboot of AMC, it’s still fun to see the actors back together and having this much fun! And for more on what your favorite Pine Valley residents are up to today, keep reading the ABC edition of Soaps In Depth!
