Catch Brown On HOMELAND!

Tags:

Not only will Showtime’s intriguing new psychological drama HOMELAND feature Claire Danes as a kick-ass CIA operative on a mission to uncover an Al-Qaeda plot, but it will also feature GENERAL HOSPITAL’s own crazy lady, Brianna Brown (Lisa)! In a two-episode stint beginning Sunday, October 9, Brown plays Lynne Reed, a former midwestern beauty queen who’s made an intriguing career choice. “Essentially, she is a paid prostitute for a Saudi prince,” the actress reveals, adding that her character is also working on the sly for the CIA.

While Brown has made numerous appearances in primetime before, this one made use of her experiences playing Lisa’s crazy kangaroo court on the soap. “I have a big, long monologue where I’m prepping one of the girls who is potentially going to be joining the next year’s harem,” she reveals. “So I am spewing out information, and I was glad that I had a lot of that on GH because it was no problem.”

Brown says the series (which premieres this Sunday, October 2) will strike a chord with GH fans as well. “It’s solid writing, and it really pushes the boundaries of how we think,” she previews. “It’s not soapy at all, but GH’s got a similar edge with all the mob stuff.”

Tune in on Sunday nights at 10 p.m. EST.
