DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Greg Vaughan Cast on Primetime Series QUEEN SUGAR
Although Greg Vaughan is still airing as Eric on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, he finished filming on the soap a while back. So it’s no surprise the actor has already landed himself a new gig, announcing via Twitter that he’s joining the cast of the new primetime series QUEEN SUGAR, airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network!

Based on the novel by Natalie Baszile, the series follows the lives of two sisters, played by Rutina Wesley and Dawn-Lyen Gardener, as they live together in Louisiana on the sugarcane farm they inherited from their recently deceased father. Vaughan will be portraying Calvin, a cop and longtime lover of Wesley’s character. They share a deep connection, despite the fact that he’s married! The series is co-produced by Oprah Winfrey and Selma director Ava DuVernay, who also wrote the pilot episode.
For fans hoping Vaughan might return to GENERAL HOSPITAL as Lucky, this news would seem to put the kibosh on that for the time being. Right now, there is no information about when QUEEN SUGAR will debut, but as more details emerge, we will keep you up to date!
