Watch ‘Daytime Cares: A Live Event’ Featuring Dozens of Your Favorite Stars!

Tags:

On May 9, daytime stars past and present from ALL MY CHILDREN, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, GENERAL HOSPITAL, GUIDING LIGHT, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS came together for a very special event — Daytime Cares: A Live Event.

The online event raised money for Daytime Cares, a community spearheaded by DAYS stars Arianne Zucker (Nicole) and Shawn Christian (ex-Daniel) spotlighting non-profit organizations offering COVID-19 support and resources. Hosts Alan Locher and Laura Wright (Carly, GH), along with Zucker and Christian, introduced dozens of stars over the course of almost four hours. There were songs, from actors like GL stars Kim Zimmer (Reva) and Robert Newman (Josh), personal stories, like Y&R‘s Jordi Vilasuso (Rey) and his wife sharing their COVID-19 recovery story, GH’s Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke) and Finola Hughes (Anna) offering some virtual dancing, and much, much more!

“Our fans have supported us for decades,” said Wright. “Daytime actors are used to being able to connect with our fans in person. We can’t do that right now, but this show is our way of giving them a virtual ‘hug’ to let them know that we are all in this together. We are so happy to partner with Arianne and Shawn. Their Daytime Cares website provides information and resources for those affected by this crisis and or looking for ways to give back.”

Locher added: “I grew up watching these shows, long before I started working in the industry. I truly understand the connection fans have to their favorite daytime actors and characters. I started The Locher Room because I suspected that the fans — like myself — would love to see some familiar faces during this difficult time in our lives. I’ve truly been blown away by the response. I’m so excited that I can use my channel for this special live event.”

The entire event was streamed live online, but if you missed it — or just want to watch it again — it’s right here!
