What Happened to Felix on General Hospital
We don’t see Felix on General Hospital as often these days, so it’s understandable if some viewers aren’t particularly familiar with the character. Marc Anthony Samuel has been playing the nurse since his first appearance back in December of 2012, and over the years he’s been mixed up in quite a bit of drama in and out of the hospital. Need a quick refresher? Here we go!
Felix DuBois was introduced as a friend of fellow nursing student Sabrina Santiago, and helped push her to pursue a romance with Dr. Patrick Drake. He also helped Sabrina fight back against Britt Westbourne when she schemed to steal Patrick for herself, specifically trying to expose that the baby Britt was carrying was not Patrick’s. He and Sabrina were roommates, and for a little while, his younger sister, Taylor DuBois, moved in with them. He was also there to comfort Sabrina after her wedding to Patrick fell apart when his presumed-dead wife, Robin, showed up at the church. So naturally, Felix was absolutely devastated when Sabrina was murdered by a serial killer in 2016.
As far as his own love life, Felix had a previous lover named Donny Sheldon who he dated before coming to GH. Brad Cooper tried to pursue him, but Felix wanted nothing to do with the scheming lab tech. Eventually, Felix agreed to go on a date with him, but Brad ended up bedding Lucas Jones and winding up choosing a relationship with the doc instead, putting an end to the short-lived love triangle.
Felix is most often seen working at the hospital, where he has cared for patients ranging from Drew Cain to Julian Jerome to Ava Jerome. He helped take care of Alzheimer’s patient Mike Corbin at home before he was placed in Turning Woods. And as a member of GH’s nursing staff, you can always expect to see Felix performing on stage at the annual Nurses Ball. In February 2021, Felix asked Lucas out for a drink on Valentine’s Day, but they both agreed it was just as friends. In August, Felix was helping Willow Tait learn the ins and outs of the hospital as a student nurse.
In 2023, when Epiphany Johnson passed away unexpectedly, Felix was absolutely shattered to lose his mentor and friend. Then, in January 2024, he attended Bobbie Spencer‘s memorial service to say farewell to another beloved friend and offer Lucas his sympathy.
