Fumero Heats Up MIAMI!

ONE LIFE TO LIVE hunk David Fumero (Cristian) has landed a plum role on the CBS primetime drama CSI: MIAMI! He’ll appear on Sunday, February 20, in “Last Stand,” where Miami becomes overrun by crime and chaos when the man who killed Horatio’s wife, Memmo Fiero — played by GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Robert LaSardo (ex-Manny/Mateo) — returns to take control of the city. “I play a used-to-be bad guy who’s retired from the gang thing,” the actor tells Soaps In Depth of his character, Armando Salazar. “He’s become a bit of a millionaire, but his ego makes him fall right back into it. I read for the casting director in L.A. This role came up, and they called me for it.”

Fumero was very excited about having the opportunity to appear in scenes opposite the show’s stars, David Caruso, who plays Det. Horatio Caine and Adam Rodriguez, who plays Det. Eric Delko. “David was really cool, and Adam is a really stand-up dude. I had a great time,” says the Miami native. “They shoot it in Long Beach, CA. The first scene I had was in a building, and I was looking at the set out of the window, and it was so like Miami. It’s amazing what [set designers] do.”

Tune in to see Fumero on CSI: MIAMI at 10 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 20.
