Anthony Montgomery Previews His Exciting New Role on THE FAMILY BUSINESS
Congratulations are in order for Anthony Montgomery, who has just landed another juicy role! The actor, who is currently in the midst of another run as Andre Maddox on GENERAL HOSPITAL, has revealed that he will be appearing in the second season of the BET drama THE FAMILY BUSINESS. “The next adventure begins!” he shared on Instagram along with a photo of himself alongside Sean Ringgold (Shawn, ONE LIFE TO LIVE), who stars as Junior Duncan on the series. “Excited to join my Tri Destined family for season two of FAMILY BUSINESS.
“I’ll be recurring as Elijah,” Montgomery continued, “second in command of the Muslim Brotherhood. Here with one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, Sean Ringgold. Get ready, y’all! We’re coming!”
Based on the book series by Carl Weber, THE FAMILY BUSINESS is a crime drama starring Ernie Hudson as the head of the Duncan family, who run an exotic car dealership in New York by day, and by night, live a dangerous secret life. The show is currently in the middle of its first season, so there are no details yet as to when the second season will premiere so GH fans can see Montgomery back on screen again.
The actor has been keeping pretty busy lately, with his holiday movie, Carole’s Christmas, recently premiering on OWN, and his episode of MAGNUM P.I. aired on Dec. 13. Plus, Montgomery has been back on GH as well since Andre was called in to help try and restore Franco’s memories back to normal. Can’t wait to see what he does next!
