Eden McCoy Reveals the Emotional Toll Her GH Storyline Took on Her (EXCLUSIVE)
Last year, all Eden McCoy (Josslyn) wanted was to get into some heavy, heartbreaking storylines on GENERAL HOSPITAL. “It’s funny, because you always want what you don’t have,” the teenager chuckled to Soaps In Depth. “I wanted to dive into something dramatic. Then when I had to cry for the first time, I remember I was so taken back by it — and I had no idea what was coming!”
The effects of the emotional story stuck with McCoy even when she wasn’t on set. “One week, I had to go to work right after school every day and knew Joss was going to be in a dark emotional place, so I just stayed in the dark place. That kind of sucked!” she sighed. “Now I’m like, ‘Why can’t I have one scene that doesn’t leave me depressed for a week?’” While the storyline was emotionally taxing, McCoy has not a single regret where it is concerned. “I’m very grateful,” she admitted. “I love bringing something to the screen that people can chew on.”
