GENERAL HOSPITAL Star Emme Rylan Reveals Her Secret Passion for Hip-Hop (EXCLUSIVE)

Tags:

Soap opera characters always seem to have plenty of secrets, but there are things about the actors that many fans might also be surprised to learn. For instance, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Emme Rylan, who fans have been watching as Lulu Spencer Falconeri since 2013, has a secret love of dance! “Cardio hip-hop is pretty much my favorite thing to do in life,” she gushed to Soaps In Depth. “I’ve been dancing since I was two-and-a-half and it’s like this secret life I have.”

Although her secret isn’t exactly a well-kept one, particularly to her surprised co-stars. “There was a video [of me dancing] that surfaced and Maura West (Ava) was like, ‘It’s like a character you’re playing!’” Rylan revealed. “I told her, ‘This is the character. That’s who I really am!”

The working mother of three takes any chance she gets to attend the mixed-level class she loves so much. “It’s like hip-hop Zumba,” Rylan explained. “I go because it’s all bodies, all ages — so we have ladies who are 75 years old shaking it like it’s nobody’s business!”

In fact, the actress, who actually became a certified Zumba instructor herself back in 2009, dreams of creating a similarly fun, safe space someday. “I actually want to open a studio one day,” she confided, “where it’s all people, all ages, all shapes, all sizes. I want it to be joyful! You’ll leave there laughing and sighing like an idiot filled with joy. I love to make people feel good moving their bodies. The studio is where I spend a lot of my time.”
