Are GH's Molly and T.J. Marrying Too Young?

Aside from a brief blip early on in their relationship, GENERAL HOSPITAL‘s Molly and T.J. have only had eyes for each other since they started dating in secret as high schoolers almost eight years ago. Now, the aspiring doctor wants to pop the question… but should these young adults sow some wild oats before settling down? “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with marrying your first love and spending the rest of your life with the person that you have already spent a lot of your life with,” Molly’s portrayer, Haley Pullos, insisted to Soaps In Depth. “It just takes a lot of commitment — which they clearly seem to have to each other.”

When T.J. initially asked for his mother’s engagement ring, Jordan balked because she felt the kids needed to experience life beyond Port Charles. While T.J.’s mother has since joined Alexis in support of the young couple tying the knot, should that change, Pullos wouldn’t mind facing off with the commissioner over the young man they both love. “I’d love to see how Molly would handle that, because she is such a fan of Jordan’s!” the actress explained. “So it would be fun to take her on… and still do it respectfully. Because that’s how Molly would do it.”

Yet while the actress can theorize all she wants about what is to come, if T.J. asks Molly to be his wife, Pullos can only hope that her alter ego sees things the same way that she does. “I believe in Molly and T.J.,” she said enthusiastically, “and in their love and their loyalty to one another.”
