GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Hayden and Drew — Their Complicated History Revealed
Drew was surprised to see Hayden back in Port Charles on GENERAL HOSPITAL, and it left some viewers wondering what did Hayden do to Drew that made him not trust her as far as he can throw her. Well, if you’ve forgotten about that particular storyline — or weren’t watching back then — we’ll fill you in. Trust us, once you know what Hayden did, you’ll understand why Drew wouldn’t want anything to do with her!
Back in 2015, Drew Cain was still known as Jake Doe, having no memories of who he was before being hit by a car and requiring extensive facial reconstruction surgery. This is when Hayden Barnes first appeared in Port Charles, claiming to be Jake’s wife. She claimed his name was really Jacob Barnes, and he’d gone missing while they were on a camping trip near where Jake had been hit by the car. She even provided physical proof, such as a marriage license, and photos of them together.
However, the truth was that Hayden had been hired by Ric Lansing, who wanted to get Jake out of the picture so he could have Elizabeth to himself. She was also one of the people who learned that Jake was really Jason Morgan and kept that truth from him. Even though Hayden had somewhat reformed by the time she left town a couple years later, you can understand why Drew wouldn’t trust anything she says or does this time around.
Jax has made Hayden CFO of Aurora Media, and is working with her to take down Valentin Cassadine. While Hayden assured Drew that she was working for Jax and their paths will never cross, you’ll want to stay tuned to see if Drew gets swept up into Jax’s scheming!
