Jacklyn Zeman Opens up About Bobbie’s Relationship With Her Family on GH (EXCLUSIVE)
With her character off the GENERAL HOSPITAL canvas much of last year, Jacklyn Zeman wasn’t sure how Bobbie felt about grandson Wiley. “When we shot the scene with the diabetes [diagnosis], it was the first time I ever held the baby,” she said of twins Erik and Theo Olson, who play the tot. “I had never even met him! At the baby-naming ceremony last fall, I didn’t touch the kid. I also hadn’t spoken with Josslyn in a year-and-a-half!”
The actress notes that sometimes, an absence like that is just about GH’s crowded canvas, but it can also be about story. “You make excuses in your head for why your character didn’t show up to things,” she explained. “And I wondered if they were setting Bobbie up to be a cold stranger.” But once the diabetic held her grandson and promised to stay alive for him, it all became clear in the actress’ mind. “Bobbie loves Wiley,” Zeman grinned. “She is loving with her family. She wants to be a part of it!”
