James Patrick Stuart Mourns the Death of Friend Michael Sherwood

Please join us in sending love to GENERAL HOSPITAL star James Patrick Stuart (Valentin), who is mourning the loss of a dear friend, a talented musician who helped him bring his debut album to life. “My friend of 25 years, Michael Sherwood, has passed,” he reported on Instagram. “He was a phenomenally gifted composer, musician, and singer whose contribution to The Apple Tree was essential. He wrote ‘Mr. Give’ and lent vocals and keyboards to ‘Lighthouse’ and ‘Good Morning Sunrise.’
“I am honored to have known and learned from him,” Stuart continued, “and would have happily listened to him play forever. Hope one day that I can. Thank you, Michael. We are forever changed.”

Sherwood was the son of musician Bobby Sherwood and enjoyed quite the musical career of his own. He formed the band Lodgic back in 1977 in Las Vegas, and after performing for years, recorded their debut album, Nomadic Sands, in 1986. He also worked with bands like Air Supply and Yes and released a solo album, Tangletown, in 1998.
