Jax and Nina on General Hospital — Is Romance In Their Future?

Jax and Nina on GENERAL HOSPITAL may seem an unlikely couple, but after her disastrous almost-wedding to Valentin, he was the one she turned to for support. And if you think back to how the two characters first met, it seems like putting these two together was inevitable!

When Jax attended the Nurses Ball shortly after returning to Port Charles in May, he offered a thirsty Nina a glass of champagne before the show and seemed immediately smitten with her. And when he walked the red carpet at the event and she interviewed him, Nina appeared quite flustered herself. Of course, all that changed when Jax showed up at her office and revealed that he had just purchased Crimson from Drew and was now her boss!

Jax and Nina immediately clashed over the magazine, with Jax worrying about the budget and saving money. Nina bet him that if she could make the September issue of Crimson sell well, he would let her control the budget, and Jax agreed. Unfortunately, not only did this force her to temporarily postpone her wedding to Valentin, but it also caused a lot of friction when she chose to boost sales by putting Ava Jerome on the cover! Nina also was upset to learn that Valentin had tried to buy Jax out of Crimson, and urged him to back off and let her handle things.

Nina also found herself caught in the middle when Valentin learned that Jax was after him, and they invited him and Hayden to Wyndemere for drinks to find out what was up. Nina was reluctant to drug her boss, but Valentin was desperate to figure out what the pair was after. Jax found out Valentin was using Curtis to spy on him, and the rift between the two men widened. He didn’t understand why Nina would marry the Cassadine, and she urged him to attend her wedding to find out.

Unfortunately, when the minister asked if there were any objections, Lulu stood up and revealed that Sasha wasn’t really Nina’s daughter! This threw the entire church into chaos as Sasha tearfully admitted it was true, and Nina immediately realized Valentin must have also been in on the scheme the whole time and lying to her face. Breaking down, Nina fled the church and ran straight into Jax’s arms as he was arriving, begging him to get her out of there.

Jax took Nina back to his house where he offered her some scotch and a shoulder to lean on as she opened up about what had happened. Could this be the start of a new romance for these two, or will Nina simply use Jax to make Valentin jealous before they ultimately find their way back together?
