Kimberly McCullough Directing IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA
Even as GENERAL HOSPITAL fans miss seeing Robin Scorpio Drake, her portrayer, Kimberly McCullough, continues to develop her career behind the camera, this time directing an episode of the FXX comedy series IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA! “What goes around comes around,” she shared on Instagram as she posed with the cast. She also posed with John Tanzer, the director of photography, who she clearly admires. “And this guy,” she declared. “Tanzer, you’re the freakin’ best!”
Although McCullough hasn’t announced when her episode of SUNNY would be airing, she did snap a backstage pic of the clapperboard that indicates she’s directing the third episode of the 14th season. And that new season is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 25, so her episode should air on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Naturally, we’ll keep you up to date as more details become available.
Fans of the GH alum can find her name on numerous primetime TV episodes, including shows like THE BOLD TYPE, THE COOL KIDS, ONE DAY AT A TIME, THE CONNERS, and FULLER HOUSE. McCullough also shared a couple more photos of Salt Lake High School East in Utah where she appears to be scouting out a location for yet another project. She’s using her “#setlife” hashtag and this time including “#secretproject.” So we’ll also update you on whatever that might be whenever the actress-turned-director sees fit to reveal it!
