GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Lisa LoCicero Admits She’s Been a Soap Fan Since Childhood (EXCLUSIVE)
Like many soap lovers, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) knows just who to blame — or thank! — for her TV addiction. “My grandma’s the one who got me started when I was a kid,” she reflected to Soaps In Depth. “What’s funny is my first memory of GH is an earthquake. In my memory, it was black and white and it was Jessie and Steve Hardy at the nurses station and the set was shaking. I should research when that was! Late ‘70s? I just remember sitting with my grandma on her couch. She was doing needlepoint, smoking and drinking Tab from a can through a straw… watching GH!”
LoCicero went on to spend whole summer breaks in front of the TV. “I’d start in the morning watching SEARCH FOR TOMORROW and go straight through the day,” she says. “I know EDGE OF NIGHT and RYAN’S HOPE were there. And I remember watching the pilot episode of LOVING when it was a brand new soap opera — and then that was my first real job!”
