A couple weeks later, the Daytime Emmy winner shared another Instagram pic that officially revealed he will be playing the head of the Gambino crime family in the upcoming film, The Victoria Gotti Story! “Thank you Lifetime and everyone involved for a beautiful opportunity,” he declared.

Benard, who just recently celebrated his 25th anniversary at GH, has always kept busy with side projects outside of Port Charles. He has appeared in an episode of CASTLE, and the films Joy, The Ghost and the Whale, A Lover Betrayed, Hold On, and Nightmare Cinema. He recently wrapped filming of the movie Equal Standard, co-starring Ice-T, which means Benard is available for another amazing role.

Of course, as the movie is still early in production, scant other details are known right now, but you can believe that we will be sure to let you know when you will be able to tune in to see Benard as another powerful mob boss when the Lifetime movie airs. And for more details on the role straight from the actor himself, don’t miss our exclusive interview with Benard in the ABC issue of Soaps In Depth magazine on sale Monday, Sept. 24!
