GENERAL HOSPITAL Replaces Kirsten Storms With DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Molly Burnett

Another surprising recast has been announced for GENERAL HOSPITAL!

In the wake of the news that Nick Stabile (Mark, SUNSET BEACH) will be temporarily taking over for Tyler Christopher as Nikolas comes confirmation that Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) will be stepping in as a temporary replacement for Kirsten Storms as Maxie!

RELATED: Nathan’s Ex is Coming to GH!

This is not the first time that Maxie has been temporarily recast with another actress. Storms was replaced in 2011 for nearly a year by Jen Lilley (Theresa, DAYS). Burnett’s first episode is slated to air in early July. Hopefully Storms will return soon to reclaim her role. Especially as Maxie and Nathan’s storyline will be heating up soon!
