Roger Howarth Opens up About Playing ‘Dranco’ on GENERAL HOSPITAL (EXCLUSIVE)
This isn’t the first time ONE LIFE TO LIVE alum Roger Howarth has changed characters on GENERAL HOSPITAL. After all, he first came to Port Charles as Llanview transplant Todd Manning. But it is the first time his character has become another person! “I’m excited… and a little intimidated,’” Howarth said of the twist that saw Franco implanted with Drew’s memories and become Dranco. “It’s like somebody hid all the tools and I’ve still got to make stuff. I need a whole other set of walk-ins and talk-ins!”
In other words, the actor has had to let go of quirky Franco and learn to move, talk and process things as Navy SEAL Drew — a guy viewers have never actually met! “It’s super fun,” Howarth raved. “I just want to make sure the ideas I have work for the longer story… without really being aware of what that story is yet. That’s the puzzle. We [actors] never really know what the bigger picture is. But in this case, I really don’t know!”
