GENERAL HOSPITAL Spoilers — Will Sonny and Carly’s Baby Survive?
Carly and Sonny’s baby has already been diagnosed with spina bifida, but in these GENERAL HOSPITAL spoilers, the infant is going to be born prematurely on top of that! What does the future hold for their child?
Even after learning that their child was going to be born with spina bifida, Sonny and Carly remained supportive of each other. “Nothing’s more important than you and the baby,” he assured his wife. But when Carly suddenly experienced labor pains while in the kitchen chatting with Jason, she began to worry. “It’s not supposed to happen like this!” she cried out.
Rushed to the hospital, Carly is terrified but grateful to have her best friend at her side. “Jason, I’m so scared,” she confesses as she lays in the bed, cradling her baby bump. “There are so many things that can go wrong!” And soon enough, Sonny is there to put his arms around his wife and offer her a sturdy shoulder on which to lean during this difficult time.
As Michael, Josslyn, and Kristina nervously wait outside, Sonny joins Carly in the operating room for the emergency C-section. “We’re gonna get through this,” Sonny promises his wife, trying to keep Carly’s spirits up. “Can’t wait to meet the baby. You look beautiful.” As the doctors and nurses work to bring the newest Corinthos child into the world, Carly looks into Sonny’s eyes for support.
