Vinessa Antoine’s Primetime Series Renewed for Season Two!
Good news for fans of GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan) — DIGGSTOWN has been renewed for a second season! “So incredibly happy and overjoyed!” the actress tweeted when the news was confirmed. “Let’s go, Diggstowners!” She also shared a video which begins with a search query for “DIGGSTOWN Season 2” before showing grainy processed selfie video of Antoine as she smiles and holds up two fingers as the word “renewed” flashes on the screen.
https://twitter.com/VinessaAntoine/status/1133770457998479360?ref_src=twsrc%5EtfwAntoine chose to leave GH in order to pursue new opportunities, which included the starring role as attorney Marcie Diggs in DIGGSTOWN, but the Canadian series hasn’t been all she’s done since then. She has also guest-starred on the FOX medical drama THE RESIDENT in April of 2019, and has a recurring role in the new CBS All Access mystery series INTERROGATION. But she’ll soon have to report back to work on the DIGGSTOWN set to begin filming the second season!
Unfortunately, while Antoine’s US fans have been able to watch her primetime guest appearances, DIGGSTOWN has not been made available for viewing in America yet. Back in September of 2018, as the series was nearing its premiere, eOne picked up DIGGSTOWN for global distribution, but as yet there has been no news of the show airing on any American network or streaming service. But with a second season on the way, hopefully the first will make it to the US for fans to enjoy. Naturally, we’ll keep you up to date with any progress on that front!
