Parry Shen Teases His Return to GENERAL HOSPITAL With Hilarious Videos!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen him, but Parry Shen is returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL for another appearance as Brad Cooper! The actor posted a cheeky video to his Instagram teasing that he was going to be back on the soap very soon. “I’ve been feeling a little under the weather lately,” he joked into his phone while walking through a parking lot. “But oh, maybe this place will have something that will help me fix this bug.” Shen then pans the camera over to show that he’s approaching the entrance of the GH studio!
The following day, Shen shared another video where he isn’t sure how things went. “Well, that was fun,” he declared. “But still a little under the weather ‘cause they had like, absolutely no medicine whatsoever in that place.”
Shen debuted as Brad back in May of 2013, taking over for an unknown actor who had been playing the character. He started off as Britt’s partner in crime at the hospital, and ended up falling in love with Lucas Jones. The last time Shen was seen as Brad was back in May of 2017 in the episodes surrounding the annual Nurses Ball, but Ryan Carnes recently reprised his role as Lucas to reveal to Bobbie and Carly that they were hoping to adopt a baby!
After Brad and Lucas were married, the characters honeymooned on the backburner, and while Lucas’ appearance had some fans upset that their storyline was continuing to happen off camera, hopefully Shen’s return to the GH studio means that we’ll soon see Lucas and Brad together on screen very soon.

While not being used at GH, Shen has been keeping pretty busy, with a starring role in the upcoming horror movie Victor Crowley, which is being released on Tuesday, Feb. 6. He also voiced the character of Shinji in a September, 2017, episode of the children’s cartoon DOC MCSTUFFINS.
At this time, there’s no word as to when Shen will be airing as Brad, or how long this particular stint might be, but we’ll obviously keep you updated as more information comes in! And for more GH casting news, keep reading the ABC edition of Soaps In Depth magazine!
