GENERAL HOSPITAL star Carolyn Hennesy (Diane) gets to visit the land of make-believe when she guests on the Sunday, November 27, episode of ONCE UPON A TIME. In “That Still Small Voice,” a giant sinkhole mysteriously appears at the edge of town, and young Henry is sure that it links the residents of Storybrooke to the fairytale world. But when he decides to explore the innards, he becomes trapped! Meanwhile, in the fairytale world, as Jiminy Cricket yearns to leave the family business and follow his own dreams, look for Hennesy to appear as his mother, Myrna.
“There isn’t any better role to play than smart and sassy Diane Miller,” Hennesy tells Soaps In Depth. “Well… okay… I might have to amend that only slightly. Truth be told, playing Jiminy Cricket’s mother was an absolute delight. I really can’t wait for fans to get a look at Myrna. She, along with her husband Martin, is a master grifter and wonderfully twisted.”
Hennesy adds that ONCE UPON A TIME’s talented costume department was extremely helpful in making her feel comfortable in the role. “It was really a case where the wardrobe and make-up played a crucial part in getting the feel of the character. I can’t go into great detail — plus, I want the viewers to be surprised — but let’s just say it’s my least glamorous role to date. I have a candid photo as my cell phone screen saver and when I show it, I get a lot of ‘That’s not you?!” No one recognizes me. Not even my hubby!”
Tune in to ONCE UPON A TIME on Sunday, November 27, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
