Interview: It’s The ARMY Life For Lucci!

There’s a lot of buzz surrounding the exciting new season of Lifetime TV’s ARMY WIVES — and for good reason! ALL MY CHILDREN’s Susan Lucci (Erica) is joining the cast as Audrey Whitaker, the well-meaning, well-connected wife of the general who’s been mentoring Michael. “I just love this show!” Lucci enthuses of the experience. “It’s so well-written and such a wonderful company of actors… It’s very similar to what I felt on AMC.”

There’s another reason why Lucci’s experiencing some déjà vu: being on ARMY WIVES means sharing scenes with its star, Kim Delaney (Jenny, AMC). “I have to say, first of all, even if I had never encountered Kim before, what I encounter now in the present time is such a terrific actress!” Lucci grins. “She’s someone I’d admired just from watching this show.”

While she’s currently set to appear in the episodes airing Sunday, March 18, and Sunday, March 25, Lucci says that there will be more. “I’m going back in March to [tape] a third episode,” she reveals. “They too felt there was more back story there [for Audrey] to be explored, and I’m so happy about that.” For more details and to find out what else is ahead for the star, check out her feature in the current issue of Soaps In Depth.
