GENERAL HOSPITAL Preempted Nationally for Hurricane Coverage
UPDATE: The Wedesday, Oct. 10 episode of GH will air as originally scheduled, although there may still be breaking news interruptions and certain areas in the path of Hurricane Michael may still run local news coverage instead. Check your local listings!
Soap fans are always complaining about their favorite shows being interrupted by breaking news reports, but in the case of the devastating Hurricane Michael bearing down on the southern United States on Wednesday, Oct. 10, it is important news that is taking over the entire day’s programming. So because of the national news coverage of the serious storm on all networks, including ABC, the regularly scheduled episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL will not be seen today in any areas.
But don’t worry about missing a moment of the drama, because they’re just bumping the air dates back a day. No need to go looking for today’s GH on ABC.com or Hulu because it will air tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 11, and pick up right where Tuesday’s episode left off. Of course, since the soap was already a day off schedule because of the September preemption for the Supreme Court hearings, now the Friday cliffhangers will come on Tuesdays for a while!
