Kristen Alderson Celebrated Her 30th Birthday With BFF Brittany Underwood!
Fans of GENERAL HOSPITAL who watched Kristen Alderson as Starr and Kiki know her as a lovely young woman, but those who remember her starting out as Starr Manning on ONE LIFE TO LIVE when she was just a child actually got to watch the precociously talented little girl grow up before their very eyes. Shortly before her May 29 birthday this year, Alderson teased those fans by sharing a photo of herself as an adorable little tot and writing: “She’s turning 30 in two days… feel old yet?”
And for her birthday weekend, Alderson was reunited with BFF and former OLTL castmate Brittany Underwood, who played Langston on the much-missed ABC soap. “My other half/forever friend/fave partner in crime/soul sister finally turned 30!” Underwood cheered on Instagram. “I couldn’t be there for the actual day but we got to celebrate last weekend and I could not have needed it any more.
“Anywhere/anytime with you is my happy place,” she continued. “Even though I hadn’t seen you in over a year and a half I haven’t felt I’ve ever been ‘without’ you a day during that time. You are the definition of the ultimate best friend and I truly believe the world would be a better place if everyone had a bestie like you. I’m forever grateful you came into my life 15 years ago… and decided to stay! We literally have the most fun doing absolutely anything even if it’s nothing because that’s what an awesome person you are that you can make anything an adventure. I love you beyond anything. I hope you had the best birthday celebration!”
Alderson had already shared her own feelings about finally reuniting with her gal pal over that weekend, but was absolutely floored by her beautiful birthday post. “Thank you so much for saying all of this,” she replied, “and not only saying it but showing that you feel this way every day! I feel everything you said about me, about you! Love you beyond words! I know people say ‘best friends forever’ but like… for real, forever! Can’t wait for more of everything with you!”
It is nice to see OLTL’s Starr and Langston together again and we like to imagine they’re still hanging out all the time in Llanview, helping each other with the drama in their lives. And it’s also wonderful to see that the actresses remain such great friends in real life! (Although we still have a hard time believing that Alderson has turned 30 — yes, we do feel old now!)
