Lucci Gets DEVIOUS!
As ALL MY CHILDREN was leaving the airwaves, rumors were swirling about daytime legend Susan Lucci (Erica) joining the cast of primetime’s DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. Well, those rumors turned out to be false, but the actress is joining the cast of DH creator March Cherry’s new show, DEVIOUS MAIDS!
“I’m a big fan of Susan Lucci,” Cherry said at the recent Writer’s Guild Awards, as casting for the new primetime soap pilot was still being developed. “I would love to work with Susan. We just have to figure out the right timing, the parts I have and when her schedule is open.”
Well the stars seem to have aligned, and now Lucci is set to play the character of Genevieve Delacourt, one of the wives that the titular devious maids are working for. GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Brianna Brown (ex-Lisa) has also been cast as one of the well-to-do wives, while Roselyn Sanchez (Pilar, AS THE WORLD TURNS) is playing one of the maids. DEVIOUS MAIDS is still just a pilot at this point, but as soon as we hear it’s been picked up as a fall series, we’ll let you know!
