The Grand Finale Celebration of ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has a few new faces front and center: ALL MY CHILDREN’s Walt Willey (Jack) and Bobbie Eakes (Krystal)! The two actors are replacing co-star Cameron Mathison (Ryan), who can no longer travel to New York to MC the event due to a scheduling conflict. Also scheduled to appear for the last annual star-studded event are AMC’s Natalie Hall (Colby) and Lindsay Hartley (Cara); GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Brandon Barash (Johnny), Anthony Geary (Luke) and Jonathan Jackson (Lucky); ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Kristen Alderson (Starr), Kassie DePaiva (Blair), David Gregory (Ford), Josh Kelly (Cutter), Mark Lawson (Brody), Nicolas Robuck (James), Kelley Missal (Danielle), Hillary B. Smith (Nora) and Kim Zimmer (Echo), as well as THE VIEW co-host Sherri Shepherd!
The musical extravaganza will take place at New York City’s Town Hall on Sunday, March 13. Broadway Cares is offering a variety of auction packages created in support of the event, including an ultimate soap fan fantasy weekend that includes a trip to NY, tickets to the Grand Finale Celebration and the post-show party, as well as opportunities to appear in scenes on all three soaps or attend a VIP taping of THE VIEW!
Fans will also have a chance to compete against each other for one-of-a-kind prizes and rare ABC Daytime memorabilia in the SOAP-A-THON SHOWDOWN! In the interactive online competition, fans can raise funds for Broadway Cares in the name of their favorite ABC Daytime duo and compete against one another to see who can raise the most money! The top fundraiser will be eligible to win a pair of VIP tickets to the Grand Finale Celebration, and be recognized for their efforts from the stage during the show!
