OLTL’s Sumpter Sparkles!

ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Tika Sumpter (Layla) is hitting the big screen this weekend with the release of Sparkle! The remake of the 1976 cult classic film about a girl group’s rise to fame that starred Phillip Michael Thomas and Irene Cara now stars AMERICAN IDOL winner Jordin Sparks and the late Whitney Houston.

“She took us all under her wing and really loved on us,” Sumpter told BlackEnterprise.com about working with the legendary Houston. “She made it quite clear that there were parallels in her life with this story.”

You can see the gorgeous and talented Sumpter singing her heart out as Delores “Dee” Williams in Sparkle on theaters everywhere starting today!
