Is Rebecca Herbst Leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL?

Could GENERAL HOSPITAL lose one of its most popular stars?

Daytime Confidential is reporting that Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth) has reached an impasse in her contract negotiations with the soap. In addition, rumors are that DAYS OF OUR LIVES is interested in adding the fan-favorite to their cast.

Herbst originally auditioned for the role of Sarah Webber, but GH created the role of Liz Webber for her to play instead. She debuted in 1997 and became so popular that when ABC announced in 2011 that Herbst would be leaving the soap, a fan protest reversed their decision.

But with Herbst’s contract up for renewal again, can terms be agreed upon to keep Liz in Port Charles? Or is there nothing the fans can do this time around? We’ll definitely be keeping you up to date as more information is released.
