Susan Lucci and Alicia Minshew Reunite in a New Series

Tags:

The new musical series WHOLLY BROKEN is set to reunite ALL MY CHILDREN stars Susan Lucci (Erica) and Alicia Minshew (Kendall)! Minshew already starred in the 2018 pilot movie of the same name as Kim, the career-driven ex-wife of a recovering alcoholic minister played by series creator and star Tom Humbert. Lucci will be playing the newly-added character of Gabriella Dixon. “Finally, the cat’s out of the bag!” Minshew tweeted when the news was announced. “This will be fun!”

AS THE WORLD TURNS alum Terri Conn (Katie) will also be reprising her role of Kristen, a recovering alcoholic single mother of two in the faith-based series that promises to “enlighten, enrich, and entertain people with life’s everyday challenges and triumphs.” Newsday is reporting that Lucci’s character is a widow who lost her husband to a drunk driver and returns to her hometown to fight for tougher laws against texting and driving.

Lucci is a daytime television icon for her four decade run on AMC, where Minshew played her TV daughter from 2002-11. The new series of WHOLLY BROKEN is scheduled to begin shooting in the Hamptons later this summer with plans to premiere sometime in 2021. So while it’s too early to know if Minshew and Lucci are going to have scenes together, we can’t imagine why they wouldn’t!

While we wait for WHOLLY BROKEN the series to release next year, fans can still watch the original film, which is currently available to stream for free on Amazon Prime. You can also check out a trailer for the inspirational series right here.
