AMC’s Jonathan Bennett Marries Jaymes Vaughan!
Please join us in congratulating ALL MY CHILDREN alum Jonathan Bennett (JR) on his marriage to Jaymes Vaughan! The couple tied the knot in a beautiful beachside ceremony on March 20 at the Unico Rivera Maya Hotel in Mexico.
“It was honestly a dream wedding!” Bennett told People (who also have exclusive photos of their big day). “We kept having to stop and remind ourselves that we weren’t on a movie set, but this was actually our real life. If you had told me this was one of my Hallmark movie sets, I would have believed it. It was that perfect.”
Bennett was one of the multiple actors who played the role of AMC’s JR Chandler over the years, with his stint as Adam and Dixie’s son running from 2001-02. He’s also best known for playing Aaron Samuels in the classic teen movie Mean Girls. In recent years the actor has turned to hosting shows like CAKE WARS and HALLOWEEN WARS but has also appeared in TV movies like The Christmas House and A Country Romance.
Vaughan is a former Chippendales dancer who competed in THE AMAZING RACE and has worked as a correspondent for THE TALK, LORRAINE, and currently co-hosts CELEBRITY PAGE. ‘When you’re part of the LGBTQ+ fam, not everything in the wedding space is for you yet,” Vaughan admitted. “The whole purpose of our wedding is to come together and join the two of us together, join our families together, and start a new family.”
The grooms and bridal party wore both black and white tuxedos, and the newlyweds skipped the aisle to walk down the beach to meet at the altar to a song Vaughan wrote for his fiancé at their engagement in November 2020. Guests all wore shades of white and the floral arrangements were all white roses in honor of Bennett’s late mother. And at the reception, everyone sat at one giant round table so no one would feel left out.
