Everything You Need to Know About Andrew on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS
If you’re wondering who Andrew is on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, you’re not alone! Plenty of people in Genoa City want to know who this mysterious businessman is that Ashley has been doing secret deals with, and viewers wouldn’t mind learning more about Coby Ryan McLaughlin, the handsome actor who plays him!
Ashley Abbott has gone through quite a lot to get control of Jabot, and she’s had to resort to some underhanded methods in order to gain that seat. In addition to manipulating Kyle Abbott into doing her dirty work, Ashley has been meeting with the mysterious Andrew and has been playing their particular relationship very close to the vest. When he made his first appearance, Ashley introduced Andrew to Neil as her new chemist, but that was clearly not true. And now Ashley has finally revealed that Andrew was the man she paid off to tamper with the DNA test results to make Jack Abbott think he’s not really John Abbot’s son!

McLaughlin made his daytime debut as Andrew in the Sept. 17 episode, and has returned for a couple more appearances now that Ashley’s plans appear to have succeeded. The actor has been in the business for years, with roles on UNDRESSED, BONES, WOMEN’S MURDER CLUB, GRACELAND and PARENTHOOD. More recently, McLaughlin could be seen in guest spots on THE CROSSING and NCIS.
Whether or not McLaughlin continues to make any future appearances on Y&R remains to be seen. Now that the shocking truth has been revealed, he might just want to run away and stay hidden from Jack’s wrath!
