Greg Rikaart Says Goodbye to DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Tags:

Leo is leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES again, and portrayer Greg Rikaart broke the sad news to fans on Twitter. “That’s a wrap on Leo,” he reported. “Thanks for all the love. Playing this role has been a gift. An absurdly fun and delicious gift.”

Rikaart joined the cast of DAYS back in March of 2018 as the former prostitute who Vivian Alamain hired to take down Sonny Kiriakis. Although he was presumedly killed off in July, he returned at the end of the year very much alive and blackmailed Sonny into marrying him! When it was later revealed that Diana Colville is his mother, and John Black was his father, it appeared that Leo could be around to cause trouble in Salem for quite a while. Unfortunately, Diana was lying about Leo being John’s son, and now it seems Leo’s second stint is coming to an end.

The actor’s DAYS castmates were sorry to see him go. “So much fun playing pretend with you, albeit briefly,” tweeted new Stefan recast Brandon Barash. “Look forward to the next time!” And Kassie DePaiva (Eve) lamented never getting to share the screen with the talented performer. “Dang it!” she exclaimed. ”I wanted to play in your sandbox. You will be missed on and off camera.” And Chrishell Hartley, who recently returned to play Jordan again, wished him nothing but success. “You are amazing!” she declared. “I am sure we will all be seeing you again very soon. Where just depends on who is the smartest and the fastest.”

We’re sure that Rikaart’s fans from THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS would love to see him reprise the role of Kevin Fisher over there, but only time will tell where his career will lead him next. Naturally, we’ll be sure to update you on the Daytime Emmy Award winner’s next move. And for more DAYS casting news, keep reading Soaps In Depth magazine.
