Dr. Henry Shah on DAYS OF OUR LIVES — Everything You Need to Know
The character of Dr. Henry Shah on DAYS OF OUR LIVES is not actually new to the soap. The doc was introduced back in August of 2017 when he appeared in an episode treating Abigail after she was severely injured in a hit-and-run. The character was played by actor Andre Khabbazi for his sporadic appearances in 2017 and 2018, but when Dr. Shah returned again in September of 2019, actor Piter Marek stepped into the role.
Dr. Shah resurfaced in January of 2018 when he took Jennifer Horton out on a date. Unfortunately, he suggested that they eat at Brady’s Pub, and Jen was very uncomfortable when Eric Brady waited on them. Picking up on the signals, Henry asked Jen if there was something between her and Eric, and while she insisted they’re just friends, he could tell that wasn’t entirely the case.
The lovelorn doc would often reappear anytime Jennifer was single and lonely but nothing ever came of their relationship. And he was her date at the explosive New Year’s Eve party when Jen’s late husband, Jack Deveraux, showed up very much alive again!
Before joining the cast of DAYS, Khabbazi appeared in the recurring role of Officer Oscar Ruiz on NBC sudser SUNSET BEACH and also played Alec Moretti on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, where he romanced both Sabryn Genet’s Tricia and Ashley Jones’ Megan.
The new Dr. Shah, Marit, has his own history with daytime, actually appearing as a Dr. Lewis on DAYS back in 2012 for a handful of episodes, according to the IMDb. His face might also be recognizable from his many primetime roles on shows like UGLY BETTY, CASTLE, THE BLACKLIST, CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, and THE GOOD FIGHT.
