Kate Mansi Reveals Why She’s Leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Kate Mansi (Abigail) has confirmed the rumors that she will be leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

Once news of her departure leaked out, Mansi felt she owed it to her fans to set the record straight, and took to Instagram to do just that.

“After much thought,” she wrote, “I’ve decided the timing was right for me to set sail from Salem. I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed every single beautiful and messy moment of being Abigail, and will always treasure our time together.

“I want to be very clear in saying that this was not a decision I took lightly,” Mansi continued. “It was important to me to see Abigail through the most recent storyline, as well as through the show’s historic 50th anniversary celebration.”

She also shared the love for her castmates and fans with her heartfelt words. “I am grateful beyond measure to the DAYS family, which extends beyond our set, to you, the amazing and unwavering fans,” she said. “Thank you for all the support and love you’ve shown Abigail and me.

“Oh, and one more thing,” Mansi concluded. “Stay tuned! I promise you, you won’t want to miss what’s coming!”

The actress has been with DAYS since 2011, when she assumed the role of Jack and Jennifer’s daughter that had previously been played by PRETTY LITTLE LIARS’ Ashley Benson. How would you like to see Abigail exit the canvas? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
