Thad Luckinbill Back on Set at THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS — Is J.T. Really Alive?

Tags:

Fans of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS have been speculating that J.T. Hellstrom is really alive ever since his “dead” body went missing, and now it seems like they might be right! The soap tweeted out a photo of actor Thad Luckinbill standing on the Crimson Lights set holding a Crimson Lights mug! “Spotted on set!” they wrote. “J.T. taking a coffee break. Stay tuned!”

Luckinbill originally joined Y&R back in 1999 and departed in 2010. He returned in December of 2017 to reprise his role, though this time around, J.T. was abusive towards ex-wife Victoria, and when he attacked her in April of 2018, Nikki killed him to protect her daughter. This launched a major storyline where Nikki and Victoria were joined by Sharon and Phyllis to help cover up the crime and hide the body.

A few months later, it appeared as though J.T. might still be alive and lurking around to torment those who had buried him alive, but it was revealed that the shadowy figure was actually Nick in an elaborate mask, impersonating the guy. However, since Nikki confessed to killing J.T. and Phyllis surrendered the murder weapon to the police, the only thing that’s been missing is the actual dead body!

Does this photo mean that J.T. is actually still alive, or is the actor being tapped for some flashback scenes? Or maybe J.T. will haunt the women who killed him and tried to get away with it? You’ll just have to stay tuned to find out! And for more Y&R casting news, keep reading the CBS edition of Soaps In Depth magazine!
