Byrne’s Web Series Debuts!

You might recall that AS THE WORLD TURNS star Martha Byrne (Lily/Rose) was working on a new Web series called WEIGHT, but haven’t heard anything about it in a while. Well, we’re happy to announce that the series will premiere its first episode on Sunday, August 2, at 8:00 p.m. ET!

WEIGHT is a sly comedy that follows Byrne’s Claire, a housewife who lost 100 pounds in a reality TV weight loss competition to find that her entire life has changed along with her appearance. It co-stars Byrne’s longtime pal Allison Smith (from THE WEST WING and KATE & ALLIE) as well as Trent Dawson (Henry, ATWT) and Kate West, the daughter of Maura West (Ava, GENERAL HOSPITAL; Carly, ATWT) and Scott DeFrietas (Andy, ATWT).

Viewers can join the “Virtual Release Party” with Byrne, other cast members and special guests by using the hashtag #weightcrazy and by following @weighttheseries on Twitter starting at 7:00 p.m. ET on August 2.
