Puppy Love On B&B!

In case you thought Oliver and Maya’s flirting on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL couldn’t get any cuter, brace yourself: The couple will have an encounter with two adorable puppies on Monday, February 10, when Brandon McMillan, host of the CBS show LUCKY DOG, drops by to say hi to his friend, Ollie!

McMillan, who rescues shelter dogs and finds them loving families as part of his heartwarming series (which airs Saturday mornings) plays himself in today’s episode, though he jokes that viewers will hardly notice him! “Honestly, I didn’t think I was going to make it out of CBS Studios with them that day because there were about 80 people on set and they wouldn’t let the dogs go!”

Incidentally, the pups making a B&B cameo are ones McMillan rescued from a shelter. “Every year in America, about 1.5 million dogs are euthanized because they can’t find homes,” he says. “LUCKY DOG is basically a show about second chances, a journey of me rescuing dogs and the process of finding the perfect home for them.”

Despite training all sorts of animals for the film and television industry for the last two decades, McMillan says acting isn’t necessarily his strong suit. “It never has been,” he says, “but it was fun getting my feet wet. If this whole ‘dog training’ thing doesn’t work out, maybe I can become a staple on B&B!”
